The Pastoral Council has the responsibility for ongoing pastoral planning to maintain the integrity of the parish mission and the goals and objectives related to it, by serving in an advisory capacity, having a consultive voice only, to the Pastor and acting as the unifying instrument within the local parish community. The Pastoral Council assists the Pastor in his leadership responsibility of planning, organizing, initiating, measuring results, promoting, coordinating and reviewing the evangelism, worship, word, community, service, stewardship and leadership within the parish. The Pastoral Council offers a means through which parishioners may actively participate in matters which concern the good of the parish. In addition, and more importantly, it is intended to aid the Pastor in building a true Christian community through administration, both spiritual and temporal.
